look at the numbers when the civil war started in the US the population was 26 million of which 9 million represented the south (approx 35%) of which 4 million were slaves (approx 15%) of the 17 million that represented the north some were abolitionists some were neutral and some refused to fight on behalf of the emancipation proclamation look at the numbers! - look at the numbers! 20% + or - fought to perpetuate domination and subjugation 20% + or - fought to perpetuate a higher ideal: inalienable human rights - harmony here we are 500+ years later and the numbers have not changed but the battlefield has... sort of it is, was and always will be about a collective shift in consciousness the margin has always been tight in reality the civil rights bill was unnecessary emancipation proclamation had already been declared law the movement of the 60s was but a flower of a collective shift in consciousness the US has now evolved beyond physical domination within her borders these days the only slavery that exists here is in the mind freedom is determined by what one does... how one chooses to live to have or have not is but a shift in consciousness the margin is still tight as is evidenced by the current political/social/economic climate in the US in fact the "revolution" is and has always been about a collective shift in consciousness toward a higher ideal utilizing technology to that end is indeed the ultimate coup |
